Card Display

Any grid view of data can alternatively be viewed as cards, with multiple card views side by side allowing a full task board to be shown, an example of which is given below. These types of view provide further support for agile development environments.

In this example, the Backlog (tasks which have yet to be assigned), tasks which are in progress and those which are already complete are shown in one view, once a task is started it will automatically move from the Backlog to the In-Progress area and so on.

A grid view can be converted to a card view and back again by right clicking in the grouping area at the top of the view. By default, all properties that were in the grid will appear on the cards, however this can be modified by using the Columns option in the toolbar. Card views will by default use the standard ‘Use In Caption’ property for the card caption, however a specific card caption can be set in the Administration area. Also, as shown above, single select properties can be assigned a colour for each value by right clicking in the Value column in Admin, and this colour can also be applied to the card caption area. Both Caption options can be assigned to a property on the Entity in Admin. Card views can be saved and incorporated into layouts just like any other view type.
