The first time a connection is opened, a copy of the Qualify metadata (administration settings) is downloaded locally and referred to every time the solution is run. The local cache will be updated the next time Qualify is started after a change has been made to the metadata via the Admin areas. Once the cache has been created, there will be a significant performance improvement when opening a connection or an instance and throughout Qualify, especially when running remotely or over a very slow connection.
